Because they’re so rare, I haven’t been able to catch every single one. It seems to me that unique fish are essentially Cozy Grove‘s version of shiny Pokémon. One more unique fish was gifted to me by Captain Billweather Snout for completing a quest. At this point, I can say I’ve caught thousands of fish without exaggerating at all, and I’ve only caught a few unique fish. The unique fish are incredibly, incredibly rare. A quick note on unique fishĪs I mentioned above, there are five tiers of rarity for fish: common, uncommon, rare, legendary, and unique. If you lay them out this way, you can see where the gaps are in your own collection, and you can even figure out the tag cloud for the fish that you’re missing. ![]() If you know all of this, it’s actually really easy to figure out which fish you’re missing before you move onto the next season. That also means there are 30 fish per season. So that’s (10 fish) x (3 sizes) x (6 seasons), for a total of 180 fish, with no two fish having the same exact tag cloud. This variety exists within every size group in every season. That’s kind of cofusing, so let me lay it out for you. In every season, there is one fish per “energy level” per rarity, per size. Note that there are three sizes of fish (small, medium, and large), five rarities (common, uncommon, rare, legendary, and unique), and two “energy levels” (lazy and energetic). In every month, here are the seasonal fish that can be caught: Now that I’ve fished in every single month of the year, I can give a more accurate breakdown of fish seasons. That information’s nice to know, but it’s not quite specific enough to understand exactly what this means for fishing. This means that March, June, September, and December are transitional months. ![]() ![]() I have a whole bunch more information in my complete fishing guide, but I’ll go over how fishing seasons work, just so we’re on the same page.įirst off, you should know that, according to a developer post, seasons in Cozy Grove are as follows: However, it’s useful to understand the seasonal breakdown if you want to know exactly when you should be fishing to fill in the gaps in your own list. The real meat and potatoes of this guide is the list of fish.
